Ron's Bio:

Thank you for visiting my web site! In today's business, it's important to know who you're working with in an effort to build strong relationships and together, accomplish goals. Here, I will share some information about me and my family that will, hopefully, help us get to know one another a little better.

I am a Native Tennessean, born in Greeneville, Tennessee and am very proud to call Tennessee my home today! I have been fortunate enough to visit every state in the United States and have travelled to many foreign countries, experiencing the cultures and lifestyle of people around the world.

After graduating from High School I moved to Smithville, Tennessee - the Center Hill Lake Region. At that time I wasn't sure of what direction I wanted to take my life and debated going straight to College or another direction.... I suppose I wasn't much different than most young people then. So, I decided I would just wait it out for a while until I could determine just what to do with myself.

Before my High School graduation, I had worked as a meat cutter in a large grocery chain as well as a Teller in a Bank. Well, I knew I didn't want to persue a career in cutting meat so I took a position in a local bank. Again, trying to determine what I felt would be right for me.

While still working at the Bank, I accepted a position at the local Radio Station (WJLE) in Smithville as a Disc Jockey and really enjoyed it. So, eventually I turned that into a full-time position.

After a while, I still wasn't satisfied with myself and after a lot of thought and soul searching, I joined the United States Navy. After the first 3 days I began to question my decision and I'm sure you can imagine just the kind of questions I was asking myself!

It turned out that it was the best decision I had ever made! The Navy turned out to be just what I needed which, by the way, followed in my Father's footsteps when he was a young man.

In the Navy I became a Cryptologist and Computer Systems Engineer, further persued my Computer Science Degree, travelled around the world, met my Wife Patsy, who by the way was also in the Navy, had 3 wonderful children and had a very successful Military Career.

In 1997, I decided to hang up my hat and retire from the Navy after a very successful career. It was hard at the time but there were other things I wanted to persue. So... here we go again... :-)

Patsy had worked very hard and followed me around the world during my Navy career. I had promised her for years that when we retired from the Navy, I would go anywhere she wanted to go.... So, we left Sunny Florida, where I was last stationed in Pensacola, headed out to her home state where she was raised... Beautiful, Scenic MONTANA!!!

That's right... Big Sky Country!!! WOW... you talking about a fish out of water! Well, it didn't take me long and I started getting into the local lifestyle. I started remodeling the old homesite where Patsy was raised, got me a few head of cattle, a couple of horses and BOOM! There I was, in the Northwest Country, just a few miles from Canada and having a wonderful time.

Eventually I took on another position as the Director for the local Senior Citizen's Center and made some life-long friendships with the local people. Ultimately, Patsy and I became the Operations Managers of a Dude Ranch not far from where we lived. That was a very rewarding experience that I would never trade for anything!

However, good ol' Tennessee was calling me again and in 2000 I rooted Patsy up once again to head back to Smithville, Tennessee! I had then completed a full circle...

I obtained my Real Estate License and my Auctioneer License. After being with Center Hill Realty for 5 years, Robin Driver, our Owner/Broker offered me a position as the Managing Broker at the Center Hill Realty, Silver Point office. I accepted and things couldn't be better. I am enjoying my new career as a Real Estate Broker/Auctioneer and recently obtained my Resort and Second Home Specialist (RSPS) Designation.

Patsy works for Federal Mogul and my children... well, that's another story. Brandon, our eldest, is currently persuing a Military Career in the U.S. Army. He recently returned from Iraq, safe and sound, for which we are thankful. He is married and has two children and currently living in Hawaii. Kendra, our daughter, recently moved to Tennessee and brought with her 3 children... It's nice to have ones Grandchildren around!! And, our youngest, Jason, came to Smithville, married a lovely young lady and headed off for the U.S. Navy himself! He has since completed his first tour in the Navy and came back home. He currently lives in Smithville as well and also works for Federal Mogul. He anticipates entering school soon to persue another career.

Well, that's my life in a nutshell! Now, you know a little bit about me and my family. I would certainly like to learn a little about you... why not drop me a note? Perhaps we have something in common!
